Today was a pretty productive day for the most part. I was able to get caught up on a few things at work and the weather was abnormally nice around lunchtime. I took a walk around downtown and ended up over by the convention center. I was very disappointed in the state of disrepair that the water features were in. They have all been drained and were grown over. Do better Tulsa.
I was able to get a few decent shots of the semi-new art installation called “Highlights”, I’m told that it lights up at night. Judging the state of the rest of the grounds I would not be surprised if this art installation is gone in a decade.
Next to the art installation is the local city library, I sadly did not have time to go in today, but I wanted to check it out. It’s been quite a while since I went inside. I usually can handle everything online with their website these days.
I also was able to snap a couple of decent street photos while I was on my walk. I tried to focus on areas with interesting lighting and wait for people to pass through the scene. Since it was not triple digits hot outside it was a lot easier to relax and take my time.
I also saw this sculpture/statue and decided it would be a good place to capture a selfie.
