One Photo A Day – Day 44, The Blue Whale

Posted on September 3, 2023January 24, 2025 By lonniebruton

Perhaps one of the most photographed places anywhere near my home. I have been putting off visiting with the camera for several weeks now. I knew that if I was going to make the drive I wanted there to at least be some kind of clouds in the sky.

Today it was overcast with a nice mixture of blue skies and clouds. I had 13 shots of Fuji 400 left in my Canon Rebel 35mm SLR and a brand-new roll of Kodak Ektar 100 in the bag. I thought that the big blue bitch in Catoosa would be a good place to break in the Ektar 100. I finished off the roll of Fuji 400 and will be shipping it off for development next week after the holiday. It will be the first roll of film shot through the Canon SLR so fingers crossed everything looks good and I did not just waste the roll of Ektar 100.

At any rate I did take my DSLR with me and I took a few shots with the digital camera as well. I also took a few shots with the Fuji Instax for shits and giggles. I might scan and upload those to my instagram sometime in the future.
