I took a walk around the ORU campus for todays photo. I was using the used 17-85mm lens that I purchased, and I wanted to confirm that it had mold/dust. I was right and I will be returning the lens 🙁
I also tried to brush off my focus screen while I was dusting out my mirror and there is some dust stuck on it that won’t come off. I’m afraid I may have scratched it or damaged it. I’m going to take it to the Camera shop on my lunch break tomorrow and have a professional take a look. It’s only a cosmetic defect at this point as it does not impact photo quality at all or prevent me from using AF. Just kind of bummed because I’ve only had the camera a couple of months and I’ve already managed to break something.
Anyhow, I wasn’t sure what to do for the photo for today and I knew I wanted, well needed, to take a long walk and listen to some music. The ORU campus is a pretty chill place to just walk around. No one bothers you and no one seemed to be bothered by a bearded fat guy taking pictures of buildings. I suspect it’s probably not an uncommon occurrence.
I just wish there were some clouds in the sky. It felt kind of bleh. But to make up for the lack of sky there was an abundance of geese. Also, I chose this photo because of how the colors looked. The blue on the roof really pops even against the blue sky. The winding sidewalk also leads you right to the building. Also, geese.
