I was given a free ticket to attend Oktoberfest Tulsa’s corporate night tonight and I was pretty stoked to get to take my film camera out and try to capture some cool shots with the 800T film. However, that was not to be.
I was working from home today, so I waited until about 4:30 to drive up to the office and walk across the street to the shuttle pick up location for Oktoberfest. I got there about 5:15pm and there was already a pretty large crowd waiting. After about 30 minutes one of the shuttles arrive fully packed and they let one person off the bus and told us to wait for the next bus. It too arrived overloaded with passengers. At this point I had skipped lunch, and the sun was starting to set so I decided that I would just take a stroll around downtown and find some dinner instead. It really wasn’t that big of a deal to me as the ticket was free and I had already taken a PTO day on Friday to go and next time I will bring a snack and maybe a sleeping bag and tent for the wait. ha ha.
Anyhow, I figured why let the beautiful sunset go to waste and did my best to capture some of the vibe.
